MSOE IT provides free, color poster printing for posters larger than 11" x 17" (up to a maximum size of 36" x 48") for active members of the MSOE Community (i.e., students, staff, faculty) operating within the following specific contexts:

  • Need a poster printed for a course they are actively taking/teaching
  • Need a poster printed for a club and/or club event
  • Need a poster printed for other MSOE activities (e.g., Residence Life events, sports)

Posters should be informational. Printing posters for personal use is strictly prohibited.

MSOE IT reserves the right to verify the nature of a poster printing request to ensure compliance with the provisions of this policy. MSOE IT reserves the right to deny any poster printing request that does not comply with the provisions of this policy.

The Help Desk will be able to print a correctly sized PDF.  Use PowerPoint and start by setting the size of the slide to the final poster size (that is, the size at which you would like the poster to be printed). Set the slide size in the Design tab to the desired print size of your poster. Then, fill in the content. When the poster is complete, Save As a PDF from the File tab. Finally, attach the PDF in an email to helpdesk@msoe.edu. You can attach more than one PDF, but there is a file size limit for email. You may send multiple emails if that poses an issue.

A Help Desk Technician will verify your poster complies with the above poster printing policy and will print your compliant poster on one of the KIP plotters in CC71. You will receive an email from the Help Desk Technician who prints your poster once it has been released to the plotter. Please allow 15 minutes for the printing process to complete. You can pick up a printed poster from CC71 any time that IT is open. IT business hours are as follows:

  • Regular Business Hours (when classes are in-session):
    • Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 8pm
    • Friday: 7:30am - 5pm
    • Saturday: 10am - 6pm
    • Sunday: Closed
  • Break Business Hours (when classes have adjourned for a break):
    • Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm
    • Saturday - Sunday: Closed
  • NOTE: In the event that the MSOE campus is closed (e.g., for a holiday), IT is also closed.
