Summery:


Cisco Jabber is an softphone client allowing you to make and receive calls on your computer as if you where using your desk phone. Everyone automatically has a laptop client for Jabber.

Cisco Jabber can be added to smart phones but no one automatically has a mobile client. Request the mobile client, the request must include if the phone is Android or Apple.


Requirements:

  • Windows 10
  • Microphone or headset (internal laptop microphones work)
  • Stable internet connection for optimal call quality.


 

Installation

    1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://www.webex.com/downloads/jabber.html

    2. Download the software and run the installer.

    3. Follow the steps in the wizard to finish the installation.


Configuring Jabber:   

    1. Launch the jabber software

    2.  Enter your MSOE email address

               

    3. Enter your MSOE password and click sign in

           

    4. The software should is now ready to use.


For the mobile client, install Jabber from the App Store on your phone. Once the mobile client has been created, log in with your MSOE username and password.
